Hi Tonks,That's correct - they have to be DECT GAP compliant. To be honest, the Fritzfon itself is pretty much the single best handset I can recommend - pricy but well worth it. No-one wants to use the other handsets in the house.cheers,Matt

DFS is great...but as you say, once you add replication things get a little more complicated. The biggest problem we had with DFSR was with one particular share that was replicated between two sites, with changes being made at both ends. 2008 R2 helped a

AuTechHeads 1st Anniversary Party - Registrations Open!

It's time to get your registration on. We're ready to party - are you?

Update: We've had a fantastic response so far, and our Party page - detailing prizes and sponsors - is now live!

Our 1st Anniversary Party at AuTechHeads is fast approaching and registrations are open. You must - must - be an AuTechHeads member, and you must register as attending to get in. Both of these are free with no strings attached.

We'll be celebrating at Waxy's in Surfers Paradise on Tuesday, August 24 at 9pm - AFTER the Tech Ed welcome party.

Waxy's is open until 3am, but we expect to wind up the 'formal' party by around midnight so everyone can be up bright and early for the conference!

NOTE: You don't have to be a Tech Ed attendee to attend the party. That means, if you want to fly up for a night, or you're already there, we'll be more than happy to see you!

Attending

Membership is free and has no strings attached - just sign up to the website and verify your account!

Registration for the party is at the party's event page. Remember - you must be on the list to get in.

We are hoping to have at least 50 registrations for the party. We will be striving to keep the event free so we ask that you register as soon as possible in order to lock in numbers!

Registration will be open until August 20, 2010 - after that, only registration via select AuTechHeads core team members will be possible.

Sponsorship

We continue to welcome offers of sponsorship until August 6, 2010. Helping keep the party free will be greatly appreciated, and we'll go out of our way to give sponsors the exposure and plugs that they'll so richly deserve.

What we're really looking for right now is cash and prizes. We have a couple of great prizes so far, but locking in more will make it all the better - and of course it's a great promotional opportunity. And cash - well, cash will help us hold the party, buy the drinks, cover food and so forth.

Helping Out

I can guarantee that we'll need all manner of help :-) For now, the best help would be to spread the word about the group and the party - and especially the need to register. The more, the merrier. We'll let you know if we're at our limits ;-)

For some additional background, see my previous blog post!

Worth noting that we hit our minimum of 50 easily :-) Now it's a matter of how many more than 50 we have! :-D
